Tonia
Charitable Operations Area Manager
In my role as Charitable Operations Area Manager for Norwich and West Norfolk I ensure the smooth running of our Support and Information services, based in our King’s Lynn Centre. Having had first-hand experience of how cancer can affect a family, I am passionate about making sure that everyone who walks through our doors is listened to and supported in the best way for them. Cancer affects everyone in different ways, so at Big C we make sure that we will listen to you and work out the best way we can help. Whether that’s having a chat over a cup of tea, or organising some more structured therapies for you. Outside of my role with Big C I enjoy spending time with my family and getting lost in a good book.

I have worked within oncology for the past 15 years. Firstly as an Associate Head and Neck Oncology Nurse, based on the coast and secondly as an Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist/Lead Nurse in Norwich.
I am now excited to be part of an amazing team, as a Support and Information Nurse based at the Big C Centre in Norwich.
My role focuses on giving support and Information to anyone, affected by cancer, that may walk through our centre doors. They are always greeted with a smile, an offer of a warm drink with biscuits and most importantly, a friendly ear, to listen to any concerns or questions they might have. We always endeavour to answer their questions and alleviate their fears and if we do not know the answers, we will try and find out the answers for them.
In any spare time, you will usually find me walking my dog, cycling or gardening and spending quality time with my family.
