Welcome to the newly launched Online Support Centre – helping to provide Big C cancer support and information online.
The new website, which is a hub of online cancer information, resources and support aims to make Big C’s Cancer Support and Information services more accessible to those who cannot, or do not wish, to visit us in our Centres.
Big C CEO Chris Bushby said, “The Online Support Centre is a new service for Big C which provides a huge amount of information online for people to read and digest at home and where useful to then discuss with our support team at the centres. It also enables those who are unable to attend our Big C centres for whatever reason, to access support from home and is a useful access point to the charity for those who are apprehensive about coming to the centre for the first time.”
As well as featuring information about the services provided within our Centres, the Online Centre also hosts a range of useful information for local people affected by cancer; including things such as a Jargon Buster, to help understand new words related to cancer, and information on local support groups across the county.
