Support groups

Our support groups at Big C provide you with the opportunity to meet other people who are going through similar experiences, to share stories and support one another.

Breast cancer group

Based at our King’s Lynn and Great Yarmouth centres this group offers people who have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer an opportunity to meet others, talk through concerns or worries and share experiences.

BSL support group

Specialist monthly sessions for the Deaf community to come together and share their experiences with fully trained members of the Big C team, and supported by a BSL interpreter.

Carers support group

If you’re caring for someone with cancer, the Carers group offers a network of emotional support and a chance to meet other carers.

HILL bereavement support group

Our bereavement group (Help in Loss of Loved Ones) supports anyone following the loss of a loved one, all facilitated by our caring team.

Living well with secondary cancer

This informal session is for anyone with a secondary cancer diagnosis, giving an opportunity to chat through any concerns, get support and meet others in a similar situation

A monthly support group for men affected by a cancer diagnosis, to share thoughts and feelings with others going through similar situations.

Teens & young adults support group

TYA offers peer, emotional and practical support for 16-24 year olds, with a friendly, informal and relaxed vibe, plus range of fun activities and outings.

The Kingsmen prostate group

A support group for anyone with a prostate cancer diagnosis. A chance to meet with others and chat through worries or share information.

A monthly support group for women affected by a cancer diagnosis, to share thoughts and feelings with others going through similar situations.

Our Big C Centres at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital, in Norwich city centre, Great Yarmouth and King’s Lynn are open Monday to Friday, 9am – 4.30pm (excluding bank holidays).
