Getting to the Hospital
The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is one of the largest cancer centres in the UK and is one of the main cancer treatment hospitals in our region. Based just outside of Norwich, off the A47 and A11 it is easily accesible from the rest of the county.

Costessey Park and Ride
The hospital site is served by the Costessey 510 Park & Ride service, which runs every 15 minutes, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.

Car Parking at the Hospital
The NNUH has a number of car parking locations and can has capacity for 850 patients and visitors, however due to the demands on the hospital, parking cannot be guaranteed at peak times.
Car Parks K, M and O are best suited for inpatients and these are located next to the wards. There are larger car parks as well for outpatients (B, C, D, F, G, H and I).
There is also emergency drop-off bays available for those visiting the Emergency Department. But please be aware this is strictly drop-off only.
Please be aware that car parks K, M and O are the nearest to the Big C Centre onsite, however due to current ongoing building works, capacity at these car parks have been reduced.
Cancer treatments and services are mainly focused on the following wards:
Home to the Oncology Outpatients, Weybourne Day Unit and Radiotherapy treatment, the Colney Centre has a welcoming seating area for you to wait, with refreshments available nearby. The Colney Centre is situated at ground floor level (Level 1) in the East Block of the Hospital.
Weybourne Day Unit
The Weybourne Day Unit is for outpatient Oncology and Heamotology services. This means you will receive treatment during the day but will not be admitted to stay at the hospital. Cancer treatments provided here include chemotherapy. The Weybourne Day Unit can be found within the Colney Centre.
Mulbarton Ward is for inpatient Oncology and Haemotgology services. This means you will be admitted to stay in hospital for cancer treatment. The ward is located on Level 1 in the East Block. Visiting times are 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Contact number 01603 289 975. Nearest car park is J,K or L
Some patients may be admitted to the Mattishall Ward which is for respitory conditions. The ward can be found on on Level 3 East Block. Their visiting hours are 2pm-4pm. Contact number 01603 288 035. Nearest carpark is M,N or O.
The Acute Oncology Service is also located on Mattishall. Their contact number is 01603 646 799
Langley Ward specialises in renal conditions and some patients are admitted here. The ward is located on Level 1 East block. Their visiting times are 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Nearest carpark is J,K or L.
Information about Cancer Services
The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is centre of excellence for cancer care.
The NNUH provides specialist services in cancer care from screening through to diagnosis, treatments and living with and beyond cancer, using the latest technology and research available. NNUH has a state of the art endoscopy department (within the nearby Quadram Institute) and has recently installed a PET CT scanner which reduces the need to travel, for this more in depth scan.
Different treatments are given at NNUH including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy, brachytherapy and surgical interventions. You will be allocated a Clinical Nurse Specialist who will be there to support you and answer any concerns or queries. The Big C centre team will also be there to give continuous support from diagnosis through life beyond cancer.
Our Big C Centre at the NNUH is located a short walk down from the Colney Centre.
